Signage is an area that requires a certain amount of experience to get right, and always needs prototyping and is something that many a brand agency doesn't always get right. The amount of light emitted from a sign versus the amount of ambient light, taking into account planning issues for example, requires knowledge and know-how.

Material usage is also a major consideration. For example, certain plastics that have to live in excessively hot environmental conditions may suffer from colour changes. Additionally rain and the elements in general can have devastating effects on signage, as can artificial light. There are numerous other considerations such as is it possible to get the correct RAL colour in your finish? Will the material warp over time? Will it be possible to adjust logos so that the negative space is achievable out of the material used?
