Les Trois Garcons
A theatrical brand system for French dining and homeware, born in Shoreditch.

Recast a cult Shoreditch institution into a living brand that could travel from table to home
Les Trois Garçons carried a rare kind of equity: part restaurant, part stage set, part whispered recommendation. The task was to translate that atmosphere into a brand with range, one that could honour the original Club Row mythology while supporting a modern homeware and digital presence. It needed to feel elegant, eclectic and slightly provocative, without tipping into parody. Above all, it had to keep the promise that every detail suggests a story.

A strategy and design approach built around theatre, collecting, and the pleasure of the unexpected

Codifying the myth.
We distilled the brand into three clear values: theatre, eclecticism, elegance. From there, we defined a voice and visual logic that could hold contradiction, refined but unruly, classic French cues set against curious objects and bold taste.
From restaurant to world.
We designed a system that works across experiences, menus, packaging, and homeware. The brand had to feel like the same house, whether you arrive for dinner, buy a candle, or browse online late at night.
Detail as storytelling.
Every touchpoint was treated as a prop. Typography, composition, and copy were built to suggest provenance and intrigue. The result is a brand that invites attention, then rewards it with layers.

Typography paired a high-contrast serif for drama with a restrained sans serif for clarity and pace. The palette leaned into inky blacks, antique golds, parchment neutrals, and deep jewel accents. Photography was theatrical and eclectic, lit like a set, rich in texture and object detail. Layouts used a disciplined grid with moments of deliberate interruption, like a curtain pulled back. Motion was slow and cinematic, with subtle fades and reveals. Naming stayed true to the founders, supported by a voice that is confident, witty, and sensorial.

The result:
A cult name, made coherent and contemporary, ready to be experienced beyond the original room.
The work clarified what made Les Trois Garçons singular, then built a system that protects it. The brand now has a consistent tone and visual language that can flex across categories, from dining to homeware, without diluting the original spirit. It feels collected, not manufactured. It feels like a story you want to step into.
Delivered end to end in 10 weeks, covering research, strategy, identity, packaging, digital, and website. The new system supports a broader audience reach across the UK and France, strengthens recognition across touchpoints, and creates clearer pathways from brand interest to purchase online.

The project launched with a new website at lestroisgarcons.com, designed to carry the brand’s atmosphere while keeping navigation crisp. We built an architecture that separates story, dining heritage, and homeware retail, with editorial pacing and product clarity working side by side. Templates were created for ongoing product drops, announcements, and seasonal updates, keeping the world fresh without redesign. The result is a digital home that can scale, support commerce, and still feel like theatre.
